RI Land Trust Council

The Rhode Island Land Trust Council's purpose is to foster a sustainable land conservation movement in Rhode Island by supporting the missions and operations of land trusts and providing a forum for their effective cooperation. These land trusts seek to preserve open spaces, natural areas, scenic character, watersheds, drinking water sources, farmland, forests, historic sites, and shorelines that uniquely define our communities. Collectively, we are preserving the heritage of our state for future generations.

Westerly Land Trust

The Westerly Land Trust, a not-for-profit corporation, operates throughout Westerly to conserve and enhance community resources. Specific programs include the preservation of open space, rehabilitation and redevelopment of established neighborhoods, and the creation of education and recreation opportunities for the public.
