2017 ECRI Annual Meeting ~ June 5th

ECRI held our annual meeting on Monday June 5th. We conducted our end-of-the-year business while also celebrating the work of the Green Infrastructure Coalition – particularly their efforts to reduce the harm caused by excess stormwater on Aquidneck Island.

This event was Sold Out! Thanks everyone for your support.

We conducted a bus tour, beginning at 3:00pm, of Green Infrastructure projects on Aquidneck Island. Thanks to Discover Newport and Viking Tours for supplying two buses and room for all to attend.

Aquidneck Island Goes Green to Battle Polluted Runoff

A locally-catered supper, provided by Mixed Grille Catering with a focus on locally-sourced food was provided. There were exhibits from Green Energy businesses and local organizations focused on stormwater mitigation, and conversation with some of the most committed activists in Rhode Island.

Later, we heard short talks by Tom Ardito of the Aquidneck Island Planning Commission and Jeff Diehl of the RI Infrastructure Bank on Stormwater Management and the financing of Green Infrastructure in Rhode Island and on Aquidneck Island.
