ECRI's Virtual Annual Meeting, Monday June 1st @ 5:00pm
As much as we would prefer to see everyone in-person at our Annual Meeting, this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be meeting virtually through the Zoom video conferencing platform.
The theme for the Annual Meeting of both ECRI and it's sister organization, the 501(c)(3) Environmental Council of Rhode Island's Education Fund, is "Building Resilient & Equitable Communities After COVID-19".
COVID-19 has deeply affected the lives, economy, and health of our state. Even though Rhode Island is nationally recognized for its strong response to the pandemic, Rhode Islanders are hurting as we cope with job loss, economic uncertainty, and social disconnection.
This year for our annual meeting, ECRI is hosting a virtual panel to reflect on how a strong recovery plan after the COVID-19 pandemic can help Rhode Island become a more livable, healthy place for all.
The distinguished panelists for this most timely discussion will be:
- Marcela Betancur, Director of the RI Latino Policy Institute at Roger Williams University
- Amelia Rose, Executive Director of Groundwork RI
- Jim Vincent, President of the NAACP Providence Branch
The program will be moderated by Joanna Detz publisher of ecoRI News.
We hope to share video of the event at a later time.
The Environment Council of Rhode Island wishes to thank the following organizations and people for their support for ECRI and its annual meeting
Thanks for your interest in our Virtual Annual Meeting for 2020!
