With just a few weeks left in the 2021 legislative session, the Environment Council of Rhode Island is working to pass its top three priorities—as well as a suite of other bills—this year.
Please join legislators and ECRI advocates over Zoom on Friday, 6/4 at 9:30am to discuss how our priority legislation will help protect Rhode Island from the climate crisis and other pressing environmental issues. The Zoom link is listed below. This will be an opportunity for you to talk with and hear from our policymakers on the environmental issues that matter the most.
Our annual legislative event will include:
- An introduction to the environmental community’s priorities 100% Renewable Electricity by 2030 and Regulations of Toxic PFAS from the President of the Environment Council of RI, Priscilla De La Cruz.
- Brief words on the House and Senate’s environmental priorities from Speaker Joe Shekarchi and a representative of the Senate President.
- Breakout discussions on policy to address RI’s most pressing environmental issues:
