2022 RI Nature Video Fest Accepting Submissions

ECRI & the RI Natural History Survey Announce that Submissions are now Being Accepted for the 2022 RI Nature Video Festival

An Online Event in 2022

The RI Nature Video Festival will return again in 2022 as a strictly online affair. As much as everyone has enjoyed an in-person event on a wintry day, no one can foresee when we will be able to safely gather in person, so the ECRI and the RI Natural History Survey have decided to go with another completely online event this winter.

RI Nature Video Festival ~ Sunday February 13, 2022 @ 2:00pm
Presented by the Environment Council of Rhode Island and the Rhode Island Natural History Survey

This is the 5th RI Nature Video Festival and the organizers have tweaked the format a bit this year to accommodate public interest and participation that's grown with each edition. In past years, we could show nearly every video sent in, but the running time was getting uncomfortably long. So this year, we are organizing a team of “curators” to select from among all videos submitted about 50 minutes to show live on Sunday, February 13th 2022, as a YouTube LIVE program on the RI Natural History Survey’s YouTube channel.

If more videos are submitted for the Festival than will fit in that time, the rest will be made available as a view-on-your-own-time, online-only bonus. As we did last year, we are going to formally ask the audience to pick a best in show, and maybe one or two other award winners.

Videos must be submitted by December 20, 2021, to be included.
