Senate Commerce Committee Hearing 2018-04-05

At the Rise of the Senate, the Committee will hear testimony on S2499, Energy Efficiency Cap legislation which would cap the system benefit charge, relative to system reliability and energy efficiency, at the annual published Consumer Price Index or two and one-half percent (2.5%), whichever is greater. ECRI opposes this bill which is a Legislative Priority during this session.

The Committee will also hear testimony on S2500, the Energy Efficiency Study bill which require the Office of Energy Resources to conduct a study to verify the energy savings measures from the state energy efficiency programs. ECRI is watching this bill closelyas part of our Legislative Agenda, but is neither supportig or opposing the bill.
