WPWA's goal is to ensure protection of the natural and historic areas of the watershed. Activities include: the River Captain Program and the Watershed Watch Program to build a base of information from visual observation of changes and weekly analysis of samples, the Pawcatuck Estuary Planning Project, an Environmental Fair for schoolchildren, clean-ups, canoe trips, and public forums.
