Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation’s Central Landfill has only a limited amount of space and is filling fast.  Replacing that capacity will be very expensive. Reducing the amount of waste tossed into the landfill will extend its life. One of the things we toss away in great quantities, food scrap, would provide much greater benefits to the community if we recycled it.
